Don't you have private tutors? Someone who can come to your house and stuff and teach you alone. That's how I learned, and because of it, I wasn't held back by classmates or other stuff and could go at my own pace. A school here offers to teach some basic grammar and maybe a hundred kanji in half a year. In half a year I learned several hundred and went over most of the necessary grammar with my teacher.
Hardly a weapon when I can just skip over it and not read it~![]()
Although, I must mention that even though it's possible to learn on your own (look at Elin), not everyone is like that, and while there are some really good teachers, there are some really bad ones as well. So it's sort of a gamble.

Everything's expensive in South Africa
The little kanji (?) I know is thanks to playing cards.
The few words (sensei, iya, hai, and some more) are from reading a single book during my four-week-absence.
Also, I can't look at someone who isn't here.
If anyone manages to laugh at that, then I guess I do have a weird way of making jokes or whatever
