I just need to delete all my current characters - I hacked all of them to have 1000 max HP because I still can't beat the boss in the underworld - and create a new character and then I'm all set.
Surprisingly, I just tested the mod and it has only one minor glitch, so I guess I can join now.
Which would make the first time I play online against anyone.

It would appear that I made a copy of my Terraria character and moved it to the folder where I installed Dragon Age: Origins. Weird.
It would also appear that I left everything except for an Iron Broadsword, Copper Pickaxe, Copper Axe and Copper Hammer, in a treasure chest or someplace.
