snes and genesis huh. I can't see why someone who would like one wouldn't naturally like the other. I love both of them. They both had great games in all genres.

But I would say they're evenly matched. Too many good games on each system to call one superior than the other, even with the differences in tech.
I remember I wanted a Genesis so badly when I was a kid. Then when I was finally allowed a console I opted for Nintendo. Still totally adore the SNES so I never regretted it one bit but now owning both I seem to lean more towards the Genesis.

Pure preference but I also find multi-platform games usually play a lot better on the Genesis.

Plus I absolutely adore the music on the Genesis. SNES had a great sound chip but I can't stand that echo effect so many devs used so they could get away with shorter samples. A necessary evil due to cartridge size limitations, but so many games sound like they're in a bathroom.
Good point on the sound limitations, but I still prefer SNES (blame the nostalgia goggles) Many beat-em ups felt right at home, and personally, I would play CV4 over Bloodlines, but that's me and nostalgia

But I'm not arguing. Love them both. I still play both. On emulators. Whilst not wearing pants!

The Genesis is really fun to collect for. Nice and cheap too. Anything SNES seems to come at a premium regardless of whether or not it's actually sought after.

Blame greed, but yeah, it is pricey to start and/or finish an SNES collection.

Definitely. Price setting/fixing league of evil is all over the SNES.

Part of the reason I picked DC to collect (besides just loving the console for no apparent reason) is that the average price per game isn't all that high.

Each system had their pros and cons. Each system had better developed games of a particular genre. It just depends on your tastes.
