So Sega seems to want to restrict PSO2 access to only people who live in Japan. Westerners are frothing at the mouth from all the rage because they can't play on servers that they shouldn't have played on in the first place. Delicious tears are delicious.

(yeah, I played the game on the JP servers too, but at least I'm not whining about this.)

I've actually been in the process of patching it up since before that news popped out. Some site released an English patch for the quests and such as well, and my friends were going to try it out.

They've wanted to restrict it to Japan only for a while, anyway. But until they ban the entire range of non-JP IPs, it'll still be inundated with outsiders.

I've already deleted my character and uninstalled the game the other day. Still hate myself for letting it rob me of 80 hours of my life.

I don't think they'll do IP bans just yet, though people having usernames that aren't written in kana/kanji will most likely stand out.
