50 plus gas and ten for the modchip.

You'd be surprised how many people don't have a video card with HDMI out, or a decent HDTV.

two HDTVs, three CRTs, and stock video on my PC. when the warranty's up ima install an HDMI out videocard.

My XBox cost me 10GBP / $15, and Inferno was nice enough to loan me everything I needed to mod it. :'D So... er... $15?

VGA > HDMI and HDMI > VGA just doesn't happen without an expensive converter box in between. Analogue to digital signal IIRC.

DVI > HDMI and HDMI > DVI is fine though.

I have HDMI>VGA going to my monitor right now. A VGA>HDMI would lose HD quality, as well as not carrying sound. No problem at all with it existing.

same here. that's why i connect everything by coaxial cable when possible since i can extend it infinitely. now, when i get an XBox 360, ima need the component HD cables since that's the only slot open on my HDTV.
