And the beauty of the Japanese language is that they tend to write stuff in both kana and kanji. I'm not 100% sure if this is just personal style or due to levels of politeness, but I've seen ごめん and ゴメン; あなた and 貴方; 俺 and オレ depending on the game I was playing. And there are stuff like (and here's a random example) (お)すすめ (=recommendation) which has a proper kanji, but I've always seen it written only with kana when talking to native speakers. Oh well, it makes things easier for a foreigner, at least.![]()
