I finally finished all of the Thieve's Guild Quests today in skyrim. Odd, I haven't even finished all of the ones in Oblivion and I've had Oblivion for 3 years now. I felt Skyrim was an overall more enjoyable game than Oblivion. I bought Morrowind a few months ago. I hate it. It's soooo damn boring, I really want to like it, but I just can't bring myself to. I also feel the same way about Metroid. But Metroid isn't boring. It's kind of confusing, I really want to like it badly, but I can't for the life of me bring myself to like it. And the Mother series. I have yet to beat Earthbound, but I've played Mother 3 through 100% several times. I really love the Mother series. I just can't stand playing Earthbound for more than 20 minutes. Earthbound is a lot like Paper Mario I guess. I remember, Paper Mario is what got me in to gaming. My Grandma got me an N64 for christmas with Ocarina of Time, Donkey Kong 64, and Paper Mario. I didn't really like Donkey Kong 64, and at the time I was about 7 I think, Zelda was a little bit too confusing for me to get in to, but I remember playing Super Mario RPG back when my dad used to have emulators on his computer, I'd spend hours wandering around aimlessly having no idea what I was doing. I remember I actually thought that the graphics of SMRPG were good, when I was little, You could stick Skyrim (Though obviously not released yet) in front of me, and I wouldn't notice the graphics. I only focused on fun. I also liked Paper Mario because of the battle system, I was just like... "Holy crap. Enemies will WAIT for you to attack?!" I fell in love with JRPGs at that point. I remember a few years later getting my Dreamcast. I don't really remember ever using it honestly. I had gotten a GameCube from my parents the same year, So I was really focused on that, and never really got the chance to end up enjoying the Dreamcast. I also has a PSX before I was a gamer. The only game I had for it was Muppets Racing, or something like that. I never really played it though. When I gamed it was usually SNES games on an Emulator. I remember my dad used to always play Quake 3 Arena all the time, then he got a really famous mod for it called Urban Terror (Which is now a standalone game.), and he still plays it to this day. Anyway, back to the Gamecube, I was sooooo excited when I saw a poster in the Wal-Mart game section that said "Paper Mario 2". I was rather confused a few months later when I got Paper Mario "The Thousand Year Door" which up until recently I had no idea that was actually Paper Mario 2, I always thought Paper Mario 2 was a canceled N64 game or something. I found out Paper Mario 2 was just the beta name of it. I still play TTYD all the time, and I never get tired of it. Every now and then I'll dust off the N64 in my closet and pop in Paper Mario, and turn the console on and off and blowing in the cartridge until it started. My N64 is actually still in perfect condition, while my Gamecube runs like shit now. I never really understood the concept of "Taking care of your games" until I got a Wii a few years back. I had to sell it though when I moved out to the west coast where I am now. All of my PS3 games are still in perfect condition. The only problem I ever had was my GTA IV disc was cracked all of the sudden when I popped it in and it wouldn't play one day. That sucked, but other than that none of my discs even have a smudge on them. I know once I get a Wii U I'm finally gonna be responsible with my stuff and make sure it doesn't get all scratched up like my Gamecube discs. The only working Gamecube games I still have are Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, and TTYD. I'm just thankful TTYD still works, or I would bust a nut. I really love TTYD a lot and it has a lot of nostalgic value to me. I actually kind of feel bad for some random kid who went to Gamestop and bought my scratched up copy of Super Mario Sunshine I traded in to them. I would be really mad if that happened to me, haha! Anyway, I'll continue my random babbling some time later.
Hope you enjoyed reading my shit about gaming!
