In all seriousness, congratulations to Spain and to Cookie. They didn't play their best for most of the tournament, but they did all that was asked of them, were incredibly solid at the back, and put on some real fireworks in the final. And those are worthy credentials for any winners. I'm also just happy for this Spain team to win it because the country needs a lift right now, and because this generation of players is amazing enough to deserve to go down in history for doing something that no team has done before. So viva indeed~! I wonder if they can pull off another World Cup too? Xavi and Xabi aside, it's not such an old team yet. :O

As a portuguese, I could say many things about my feelings regarding the (outstanding) victory of Spain...

I could mention the fact that, since we are "hermanos latinos", it feels like we won too.
I could also say it is great that the winner is the country that ruled the other half of the world with us (Tratado de Tordesilhas) in the 1490's.
And I could even say that having one of our admins (even) more happy than usual makes EP an even better home...

But, in the end, I think it all comes down to this:
