I'm not sure if Zelda could be considered a JRPG, it's more like Action Adventure.

What about the "Summon Night" series for the GBA?

I played the first one quite often, but there is one only in japanese called "Hajimari no Ishi".

I definitely do not know much on the subject...
(I have been trying to remember more but I cannot recall...)

Those popped out of my mind because I had fun playing them (a while back) I mean, both 1 and 2 were
a lot of fun, and even the Hajimari no Ishi one. (...even though I did not understand most of the story. )

Anyway, I think this is as far as I will get.
(I am assuming Visual Novels are out, for the descriptions in the first post. )

You'd probably better take Sonic Chronicles off the list, then. It was developed independently by Bioware under license from Sega, and wasn't even released in Japan until about a year after the Western versions.
