lol I know, we were talking about the Dreamcast`s proto and the conversation ended in Borman saying about owning a beta build for the Xbox. And i wish i had an Xbox, just for this game Jet Set Radio Future and Panzer Dragon Orta.

There are prototype and beta games on this website. I have a game called Forty Winks, it's an unreleased game. It's ok, but it's difficult to play.

don't even get me started on Sonic Xtreme: ...ok I'm started:
Sonic 3d blast was NOT a bad game by any means. dissapointing, yes. But Xtreme was supposed to really bring SEGA and sonic higher than it ever was before, as the Sega Saturn, but somewhere along the line, Sega's nads just shrunk about 3 sizes. ever since then I can't enjoy any new sonic game ever again...

I was just gonna post about sonic xtreme . i also think it might of saved the saturn. i wish chris senn didnt get a lung infection. at least saturn's version of sonic 3D Blast Was Better *have both versions* but i still would of liked sonic xtreme better.

Sorry to kick this back up, but since it's pretty much unanimous, would there be any way to make a better and bigger prototype section here on EP?
Would people upload what they have?

I agree. In the emuporium, I found beta and prototype roms of several nes games.It's in the misc part. There's some in the no intro downloads too. I found some beta for some terrible games. I wondered why they bothered releasing the games. The beta for Bugs Bunny's crazy castle and B-day blowout are awful. The Fester's quest one is atrocious.

Yeah. I have a few unreleased games on my nes emulator. Not bad games. I'm looking for betas and unreleased games for my snes and n64 too.

The main site DOES have a beta section. I guess you have to contact MasJ to add stuff there.

I thought of making it an user-based feat, like PSP, TG-16, PS3 and 360 uploads, and list it on the main page. That, or indeed uploading them to EP's server, but giving credit to whoever uploaded them.

If you have betas you want to upload, I guess Misc. section of Emuporium is the place. If there are enough files uploaded to warrant a new section, the admins will make one. (Or at least that's what it says on the sub forum description.

Probably because it was never officially going to happen. The opening video they did was simply a tech demo, much like the recreation of Final Fantasy VIII's dance scene they did to show off the PS2, or Arika recently demoing a fighting engine for the 3DS using Street Fighter EX characters and moves. From the moment it was released, SquEnix categorically denied that it was a reflection of any project in development.

There was serious talk at one point a long time ago of VII, VIII and IX all being remade (to what degree is questionable - it could just have been a port of all three on one DVD or something) for the PS2, as well as V and VI being remade for the DS in the same style as IV's DS remake, but anything else is just typical internet rumours.
