AAA titles get a midnight release generally.

Bought Uncharted GA. Rage moderately soothed.

Small city in Canada, yo'.

Very few games get midnight releases here. Only really, really big titles. The only ones I can think of happening recently were Call of Duty, Battlefield, Skyrim, and Diablo. I don't even think Uncharted 3 had a midnight release in my city.


Also, picked up Lollipop Chainsaw today. Also grabbed a Lollipop Chainsaw keychain, since the guys at my EB got a couple extra, so they gave them out to the first 5 people who preordered the game.

I'm definitely going to get this at some point. I was very tempted to pre-order it for $45 from Amazon when I posted that in the deals thread but I decided to wait it out until I can get it for $20 or so.

I have a feeling that it's not going to be worth the $60 that I spent on it, but it looks entertaining as hell. Good for a "mindless destruction" kind of game.


Another thing I remember: the northern half of my city has a bylaw that states most businesses are not allowed to be open beyond 11PM. The only ones are exempt from that are the two gas stations on the highway (for truckers/travellers) and Tim Hortons (for truckers/travellers). I think EB has to bend over backwards to get special permission to do midnight releases, which makes it... kind of not worth it for them. Especially in a town of only about 75-80K.

That's what I was thinking.

Also buying a bunch of anime, as well as buying the Vita, games for it and still Agarest 2 LE coming out this month as well.

Of course Tim Horton's would get an exemption.
