+1 on this; the "betas" section on the main page is rather lacking compared to what I've seen others post on the forums here (RE1 on gameboy anyone?)
On that note there were two games that I saw advertised that never saw the light of day. The first was supposed to be a sequel of sorts to Lufia 2 (from my understanding), and was said to be slated for release on the PS1 upon completion. At the time I was disappointed, as I didn't own a PS1 at the time. However shortly after seeing this I ended up getting a PS1, and it ended up becoming an entirely different game released on the GBC. Good a game as that was, I can't help but wonder what the game would have been like had it been released on the PS1 as originally planned.
The second I remember was actually supposed to be a remake of the classic Genesis action RPG Landstalker, being made for the PSP. This being one of my all-time favorite games (still have the original cartridge & case it came in), I was obviously excited to see it being remade on a more modern console. However as it turned out, aside from a video of someone playing what appeared to be a demo of the game at a convention of some sort, there was never any related media released. Very disappointing.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"
