I always used the .44 magnum tactical knife if needed.

That works too, but I only use the USP because I generally care not for shooting whenever I pull out the combo, A mag would have me concentrating on shooting.
I use it for relatively easy stabbing when campers love to hide.
Works, got a harrier off stabbing alone.
