Yup. Some people call us elitist for having a section like that, but in all honesty, it's just an easy way to "have access" to people I'm close to and have known for several years here, without having to backread pages of what everyone else is chatting about.

In the old days, you got it automatically after being a member for 2 years. Then we realized that it's more like a section for people who are actually good friends here, and just passively being here for a long time might not always result in that, if you know what I mean. So nowadays we usually create a "xy for retro" nomination/suggestion thread and we all vote whether or not said person should get Retro access.

Believe it or not, even though I have many people here on Facebook and stuff, most of us, including myself, prefer to chat here.
