The 500$ Range is pretty big right now.

    So no.

But it looks like it might impress a lot of people.

$500 for an enhanced Wii? No Thanks. I always wait unit a console drops below $200, then I buy.

When the last generation of consoles came here (all imported) they costed like, 4x times what they were worth. For example, the PS3 was $450/$350 (I don't remember), but here it costed R$7.500/R$8.000, and the games costed the price of the console itself. If the Wii U comes to Brazil with this price base, it will cost like R$10.000,00, considering that the dollar has an exchange value of $1,00 = R$2,00/2,50 or something, and including taxes, which are high for electronics. So no, I won't buy the Wii U. Unless someone successfully pirate it, then I'll get one from Paraguay (no offence intended).

If it was under $300 I might consider it (considering where I'm from $300 is nothing ), they wouldn't keep it $500 forever

But what really matters after that is how much the games cost, if most games I want are over $60 (like sometimes PS3, 360, etc), I'd wait awhile longer. It's funny how the games can cost more than the consoles themselves, once it adds up.
My inbox IS NOT A REQUEST BOX , if you want to make requests maybe do it here? Someone w/ working links might help you there (I don't do requests obviously, however, feel free to let me know if a DLC file doesn't work* and needs an update ) *ex:"container error"

How to use DLC files? Use Jdownloader
Still looking for PS2 undubs by any chance? Try searching "PS2 undub project 2.6" @ google, it's hard to miss and you can maybe find most of em in a single search/post .

I completely agree with this comment. Nintendo claims they will recapture the "hardcore" market with this system, but here's the thing. All those 10's of millions of people already playing CoD and Battlefield and the like, are NOT going to switch to a Wii U to play the next game. (I am not a fan of shooters, but unfortunately this is where the money is these days, you know it and I know it) These people already have established clans, friendships, etc and they'll stick with the new Xbox or PS4 when the time comes. Not to mention, Nintendo claims they will get the "best" versions of third party games..... funny how I didn't see the new Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 6, or Grand Theft Auto 5 announced for their system. Oh, but they get Arkham City or whatever it is with enhanced controls. Pretty sure everyone who wanted to play that game already did so.... not to mention by the time it comes out it will already be over 1 year old.

They have about a snowballs chance in Hell to recapture the hardcore gamers they lost with the Wii, IMO.

$500 is way too much. I have never bought a console on release day and probably never will. The Wii U looks good, but I will not pay $500 for it. Anything from $250-$300 is reasonable. The controllers look like they'll cost $100 each. Of course the Wii U only supports a maximum of 2 Wii U controllers, kinda of step back in my opinion. While most consoles nowadays support 4 or more. Anyways, it will be interested to see what the actual prices are, once detail on pricing is released. I'm also kinda bummed, there was no Zelda shown at E3 this year or GTA V, but that's a different story.

Yeah going to support for only 2 controllers makes no sense when good local multi-player games have been one of the best things about Nintendo for a long time. I'd be willing to bet over 80% of the time I spent playing Gamecube was with friends.

Also, really liked FlavaFave's post so +rep there.

Exactly, Nintendo's whole premise has been being the company that creates family friendly systems. That just went down the tubes with only two controllers. Or you think there are going to be like Playstation 2's and such and buy a controller expansion port.

"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

I was talking about new from a retail store. But after looking I guess it's more than that. I really still have no real interest in it though. Still probably less than 10 games I'd want to play on it.

I'd get MP3, Super Mario Galaxy 1-2, New Super Mario Bros, M:OM, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade Chronicles. And I'd want to get them all at once when I got the console. That was off the top of my head, if I dug I could probably think of a few more games but it's still not something near the top of my list.

Thinking about pissing off Shard and using the N64 money to fill a gap in my JP Limited Box Atelier collection.
