I've only got one of his earlier solo albums. I'm pretty fond of the later instrumentals on Planet Rain, not so much on the earlier songs.

Don't think I've mentioned them before, Krusader is good. Brazilians do it right .

Ziltoid the omniscient is a pretty awesome album. I'd recommend at least one listen to just see what the fuss is about, hopefully you may enjoy it

Yes, I have. Not as good as Physicist, Terria or Infinity but a solid overall effort and worth listening to.

Well, I would never have a conversation about metal or rock without mentioning the bands Dream Theater and Kamelot. I'd vote for them any day of the week.

Both are solid bands, though I haven't heard any of Dream Theater's newer albums.

    NWOBHM all the way!

HUGE fan of other NWOBHM bands like Cloven Hoof, Tokyo Blade, Angel Witch, Persian Risk, Diamond Head, Avenger, Atomkraft, Def Leppard, Demon, Virtue, Jaguar, Tygers of Pan Tang, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Tytan, Girlschool, etc.!

Trivium for the win. Also inb4 Cannibal Corpse.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

Sonata Arctica needs more Silence, and less of this new nonsense.

I daresay it would be harder to find a bigger bunch of sellout trendwhores than Trivium.

It would take some work, I wasn't aware people still liked them.

    Inb4Shardfixesmyposttochangestilltoever.

Anyway, I'm listening to some Lakes of Tears atm. Pretty divisive band, has anyone else hear heard of them?

    One Question.

My friend keeps on listening to Slipknot, and he's trying so hard to tell me these people don't sound like garbage.
Am I wrong for calling Slipknot garbage, especially their newer stuff?
