I almost forgot this, but that trawling bit was great. Had no idea that was a fishing technique.

I was aware. But then again, I've operated a trawler before.

I'm probably a terrible gauge of things.

It's also a nice way of getting yourself out of some sticky situations. Said something stupid and found yourself called out on it? Just claim you were trolling.

Half-expected to go to my profile and see negative reputation with a trollface as the comment.

I loved it. The story is "meh," but the combat is extremely addictive, and taking down the big baddies is fun.

I don't really get why people are complaining about DD's story. I haven't played it, admittedly, but from the trailers it was... pretty obvious that that wasn't really what the game was about anyway. :'D

Fun fact: if you reveal yourself to be trolling, you have already failed to troll.

Anyone using in an unironic fashion (like, say, as an avatar) are merely proving idiocy.

I ordered a large stereo system from the internet. However when it arrived the package looked hideous and it was frayed/ripped in several areas. I was also not overly fond of the color scheme. The font used was also horribly inappropriate for the product.

    2* out of 5

PS: Stereo system works as advertised and sounds great.

I bring it up because some people only play games for a great story. There really isn't one here.

Also, it does kind of create a disjoint between the gameplay and the motivation to move forward. There were a few times during my first playthrough where I straight up forgot what I was supposed to be doing and how it contributed to the main quest. Thinking back on it... I still couldn't give a concrete example of what the story is actually about. It tries to present itself as being interesting and involving, but it really doesn't make it. The vast majority of the main quests don't move the story forward at all, and actually create a discord between what you think is supposed to be going on and what is actually going on.

In the long run, the story is about facing down the dragon that stole your heart (your actual organ, not your romantic interest), defeating him and reclaiming your life. When you discover this (right at the beginning of the game, after the tutorial) and when you next hear any mention of the dragon is about twenty hours of gameplay later. The rest is just escort missions, recapturing castles, and clearing out infested dungeons. Which, to be honest, recapturing the castles and going through the Catacombs was a helluva lot of fun, but after I finished that and went to get my next assignment, I remember sitting back and thinking... "why?" If you were to actually sit back and think about what the story looks like it's trying to tell, it would appear as though the dragon is hellbent on destroying the world instead of just you, when really he has no interest in anyone else but you. At least through implication of the main story.

I absolutely loved the game and hope they do a sequel of it that improves on what they already have (which, really, all they have to add is a semi-coherent story and they're there) and I'll buy it in an instance. And quite honestly... this is Capcom we're talking about. There's bound to be a sequel eventually.

    Diable 3 strategy guide:
2/5 - Because he server is dead! They have no idea what happened. I think Blizzard has stolen your $60 and killed the server!
