Definitely give it a shot, it was one of the memorable games on GBA.

Since now that I'm done with Okamiden, I'm onto continuing my save file on Golden Sun Dark Dawn. Lots of leveling up do be done unfortunately.

Playing Chrono Trigger for the first time in almost ten years (it's possibly even longer since I last finished it). Started it in French for a little bit of language practice, not really intending to go through it properly, and before I knew it I was a good few hours in and busy reforging the Masamune. :'D I forgot just how fantastic a game it is! Filled with happy memories of my early ventures into emulation during my first year of high school.

It's also kind of nice that I can enjoy a game in French now, albeit with a dictionary. Of course I should probably just be playing it in Japanese being that I speak that much better than French and it's er... the language that the game was made in. But then I was never one for logic.

I'm curious how Ayla is in French. I imagine she used broken Japanese written only in hiragana and/or katakana in the original, or something equally silly.

I was wondering that myself. Turns out caveman speak is more or less the same in French as it is in English. Or at least the fan translators went about things that way. "Moi" (me) instead of "Je" (I), unconjugated verbs, simple sentences, etc...

Yeah, probably lots of dropped particles and katakana in Japanese. Have only played Chrono Cross in Japanese, though, so I couldn't say for sure~
