We're lucky to have free education here in Scotland, but darned if the authority that administrates it isn't the most irritating, obnoxious institution to deal with. :'D I hate you, SAAS~

    100% Free? Even the books?

Also, obnoxious is a funny word...

No, we pay for books. Though if you're from a very poor family, you can get help with that too.

Oh. So it is kinda like here. Although for the books it is really hard to get help for them.
Luckily, my brother got a scholarship. Now that I am thinking, it seems easier to get help for college than for elementary school...

Portugal, the country of paradoxes, I guess...

It's the same here. The higher you go in education, the more scholarships become available. Back in school? Good luck getting help with anything. :'D

I'm really hoping that I get a scholarship in Japan next year, or it'll be really hard for me. At least I'm not living in Tokyo, I guess. That puts such a strain on your purse.

My brother wants to go to Japan too, although he is also considering China...
He will only go with a scholarship, of course, but yeah, I heard the life cost in Tokyo is really high.
Seems you can buy books there cheaper than fruit, and fresh fruit can be really expensive.

(But I still hope that, if he has to go one day, he chooses Japan. :'D)

Tokyo is written with the same Kanji as Kyoto, right? But with the order switched?

Yeah, vegetables are okay, but fruit is super-expensive in certain areas of Japan. Bad news for vegetarians like me.

Oh! I really want to visit China while I'm in Japan. I think I'll probably just go to South Korea, though, as I have lots of friends there and I'm kind of studying Korean. I'm super-jealous that your brother gets to study both Chinese and Japanese. I wanted to do a joint degree in them, but it was too difficult to make it work~

Slightly different. The "kyou" is the same in both, but the to in Tokyo is actually a long "tou", meaning "East", while the one in Kyoto is short, and means "capital".

    Wow, real vegetarian? That's great.
I am not a vegetarian, but I truly dislike the majority of meat food. I think I can only enjoy hamburgers because they somewhat don't resemble meat.
But I am seriously thinking in trying to become a vegetarian some day.

And in Korea you can manage by yourself with only Hangul, right? I mean, the usually don't use Hanja, do they?

I was the same, really. I grew up with my cousins who were all vegetarians, so I never really developed a taste for meat. I'm kind of an accidental vegetarian.

Not really. Not unless you're going to read textbooks or some newspapers.

    And parade you will.

    Spoiler warning:
I still have the word "Leaf Blade" echoing in my head when I look at it though...
