The prices they charge on ebay, and the actual value of a 20 year old computer are completely different.

I'd put a bog standard A500 at around a tenner, A600 £10-£15, A1200 £15-20. Add all your little extras, controller, CF cards/interface etc, then you might add another 20 quid to the total, I'm not sure of the going price for them.

£15-20 for an Amiga 1200? Maybe back in 2002. On eBay/Amigakit etc you're looking at 80-200. They regularly sell for that kind of money as well.

I'm aware A500s and A600s are worthless. Those weren't the desirable models.

Nothing is more fun than soaking your dog with a hose.
And then siad dog grabs hoses and douses you with it.

I've had a few 1200's, and I personally don't value a bog standard one at any more than £30 at the extreme. What other people are prepared to pay for them is stupid. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Amiga, I still do, just not £80 plus.

This is the first Amiga 1200 we've ever had. Always had 500s and 600s.

First time I'm getting to experience the AGA chipset.

I used to have a CD32 with SX1, you could load all the floppy disks from CD.

Ew, CD32. Those SX1 addon thingies are worth a ton of money as well though.

I can't remember the name of the disk, but I had one that would allow your 1200 to boot as a 500 for compatibility with older games. Every time it loaded, you get the red error screen, but a quick soft reset would allow it to boot into 500 mode.

Add a keyboard and mouse, and it's basically an A1200 with CD support.

Rather have a 1200 with an external CD-ROM drive. Not a fan of the look of the CD32.
