They broke a bunch of rules when getting her to sign (I rang that group that looks after customers in Ireland) and basically talked about that when I rang vodafone (who as you may imagine didn't wanna know about it) It was an awkward process man, took nearly two months to get it back onto Eircom. Like I'd ring and they'd be like "oh yeah the cancellation is going through now" and a week later I'd ring again and the cancellation was never made and they had never heard of me. But eventually they fucked off, cunts.

Didn't explain the terms of the contract properly and didn't make her aware of the two week period in which she could cancel, apparently that's how most people get out of it. They came to our door like.

Once it was connected, he phoned VM to get them to activate it. It took all of 5 minutes...

Yeah, assuming once it's all connected my Mam will have to phone up VM to get them to turn on the 30meg.

They had a firewall charge they charged two euro a month for protection against viruses or some crap that my mam (the bill is in her name) noticed but was fairly well hidden in the bill, it took a while for them to cancel it for her.

I've managed 32.5mb dload on the newsgroups. But the upload speed is only 2mb, not the advertised 3mb. I can't be bothered to phone them since I don't upload anything now.

Yeah I don't give a shit about the upload speed to be fair.

32.5mb equates to 3.8MB/s or so?
