You can get more powerful pc at low cost if you buy old parts.
IDK much about them.
What's the reason to buy new parts?

Reliability and if something goes wrong in the short term I can return them.
Also if the pc is going to be used a lot for three years I don't see a problem with shelling out a decent amount of money for it, it justifies the cost.

A netbook could be good, I'd like one with HDMI though if possible. It would mainly just be for use in bed/connecting to an LCD TV for internet browsing on a larger screen and shit.

No optical drive of course.Just like a netbook in that way (and the overall size and screen size are the same).

With netbooks the problems are that their processors are really slow.
You can't play new games.
That's only for movies,music and browsing.
But if extra portability needed. go for it. At least it's faster if we put them in the ipad categery.
