I'll second both of these. My only issue with LoD was that even for when it was made it was a walking cliche. The plot moves were all very predictable. That didn't stop me from enjoying it but it's something to keep in mind.
Vandal Hearts is solid as well. I had Kartia when my ps1 collection was the size of the moon, probably one of the weakest in my library at that time along with Hoshigami. Gameplay in Kartia is rock solid iirc but it was everything else that left something to be desired. It's been years though.
I recommend these as well (assuming you've played no ps1 rpgs other than the ffs, and it's gonna be a pretty big list)
Star Ocean Second Story
Wild Arms
Wild Arms 2
Valkyrie Profile
Dragon Warrior (Quest) VII
Lunar
Lunar 2
Arc the Lad
Arc the Lad 2
Legend of Mana
Chrono Cross
Threads of Fate
Breath of Fire 3
Breath of Fire 4
Persona
Persona 2
Brigandine (imo this is only for hardcore strategy nuts only, personally I loved it but it's relatively plot light with very rich gameplay)
Suikoden
Suikoden II
Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together
Tales of Destiny
Tales of Destiny II
Thousand Arms
O LEGEND OF DRAGOON!!
i downloaded that to! i've been a big fan of it for a while! i got it for christmas when it came out..i had never heard of it before...my dad said it looked good. LOL AND IT WAS!!!
Chrono cross is another all time favorite of mine
as for all the rest of those you mentioned...im copying to a text document as note! never heard of any of the others....well a few i've heard of but i've never played...Never played the original Valkyrie Profile...i played the 2nd one for ps2...the only star ocean i've ever played was Till the end of time...VERY CHALLANGING!!!
i never played vandell hearts but i used to watch my uncle play it ALL THE TIME!!
I didn't want to overwhelm him with a bunch of games, I only went with some of the ones I enjoyed. But Gypsy is right, if there's something the PSX had was quantity and quality as far as RPGs refer. His list is a good example of it.
Many people here, me included, consider Vagrant Story one of their favourites, quite hard for some others, the games is a masterpiece.

I just got my first 3DO console, an FZ-1 but it has no games sadly.
I know of the main stays of the console like Road Rash, Need for Speed, and Gex, but what are some good games on the 3DO? RPGs, Shooters, or just plain fun games.
3DO has no games. It's like the 90's equivalent of a PS3.![]()
Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger
Lucienne's Quest
I knew about Wing Commander III, but I already have the DOS version.
I looked up Lucienne's Quest and it looks plenty interesting

I recently bought a PSP, I have two games for it, but what games are good? I like RPG's, puzzles, racing etc. I'm not picky about games as long as they're good games. Any suggestions?![]()
