It's correct to get it into 5th as soon as you can, right?

My Grandad also ALWAYS puts the handbrake on when he stops. Even if it's just for a few seconds. Not sure if it's because of his knees (they're fucked basically) or whether it's better to do that? I find holding the clutch and brake down so tedious. I'd rather just put the handbrake on.
5th is ideal for gas mileage, less rpms.

I'd advise against the handbrake though. What it does is manually apply your rear brakes. It is basically a very weak brake, so if someone rearends you while you're sitting there, you're going to go flying

Interestingly, not all cars have had handbrakes that operate the two rear brakes.
Some Saab's, Citroen's and older Subaru's are examples that have had "unconventional" arrangements.

I doubt Dan would need to worry about that though

You're right about using the main brakes, many people don't think about that scenario until after they've been in a pile-up

Yeah. E-brakes are pretty much for what the name implies: for use if there's an emergency where you have no other braking power

    It's just a parking brake
The vast majority aren't even good enough in real emergencies for the average driver

Hence the need for airbags and "other faggotry".

RE: ORC and Armored Core V out on the 20th. Kinda want, so I might trade in ME3 since I've already all the achievements. But then again, future DLCs...

    But for now, .

It will take them forever to get the DLC out anyway. I doubt you'll be missing anything by getting rid of it now.

Got a letter in the post for the work programme appointment with Avanta that they've put me onto because I've been unemployed for 9 months. You'd think I wasn't actually trying to get a job or something.

Wake up in the afternoon, get a giant bag of snacks thrown at me and send a message to meet with my soon to be ex girlfriend. Today is going to be a good day.
