I Tend to max the amount of ram the machine can have, better to have too much than too little
Desktop got 8GB Laptop got 4GB
Had to use a shitty eMachines today for my test for my course. Laptop itself wasn't too bad actually, Pentium something or other, dual core I imagine, 3GB DDR3, 250GB HDD.
Unfortunately that's still a little bit more than I'm looking to spend right now... I'm probably going to be building a new rig late in the year, so if he still has it by then I'll probably pick it up. I don't want to low ball him though, when he could probably get a lot more on eBay with little to no effort.

I honestly don't plan on ever going back to Nvidia. I just don't trust the company. After the BS they tried to pull with requiring you to use their chipset to SLI, and the toaster ovens that were the 400 series, I just do not want another card from them. PhysX was cool, but under used. So meh.
