Final Fantasy X Remake will be great, and yes it will be really great if they make blitzball optional game (and changes or add optional method to obtain Wakka's sigil as it involves blitzball)...
But I would love to see the remake of VI to IX too, though... like they did III and IV in NDS platform.

Even more than generic issues with being older and probably having less compatibility with newer tools, the bigger issue is the fact that they outright don't have a lot of the original assets / source code. I remember reading an article about how this was one of the major issues they faced when creating the PC ports of 7 & 8, so I'd imagine it's even worse now.
mind if i ask for a source for that? i cant seem to find anything about that

yeah i know what you mean i throughly enjoyed VI and IX and would love to see remakes but i dont think we will see them untill square are going bust which is sad to say but it would not been economically viable for them to be able to do so, considering the man power that would have to go into re making them, the only people with nothing to do would be the story writers, but they would have to hire voice actors etc and they would have to recreate the game from scratch as there is no way to re render the old textures into something that could be ported onto a newer console, its ok if your just going to upscale it and keep the orignal polygons but what most fans are wanting from what i can tell is a complete HD makeover which i dont think will happen

Personally I'm rather excited by this news, being a massive FF X fan (possibly my favourite of all time but VI and VIII are close contenders) but from reading some of the comments there are alot of people who are crying out for FF VI and VII remakes.
Personally I believe the reason they are choosing to go with X rather than their PS1 counterparts is due to the fact that all FF X will need is just a slight HD upscale where as something like 6 or 7 would need a complete remake from the ground up. What are your views on this?
Should Square Enix stop constricting FF VII fan boy's balls and draw up a FF VII remake or do you feel that they will leave this untill the company look like they are going under and release a FINAL Final Fantasy?
yeah ff x was one of my favs but ff7 will always be my number one the cloud and sephiroth thing was intense but yeah if they are going to do that i will buy it for sure but on the other hand if they made a remake of ff7 i would honestly pay 300$ for it just think of how insane it would be i mean ps3 or 4 graphics or xbox 720 with a devil may cry kind of system i MEAN HOLY F*&^
