So I played the ME3 demo.
WOW
I am impressed with the improvements. I also now have a long term plan relating to the storyline. After interacting with a few people from ME1 that (in my universe) are dead, I plan to play through with my imported Shepard so I can continue the story as it fits my game. But, after finishing 3, I plan to start again without my save files, so I can experience the story the way it would play out if I had never played 1 or 2. Obviously, after playing the 2nd section of the demo, I'm sure it will be different with the members I will have to use with my save.
On the downside, I was a bit disappointed with the animation of the character's faces while they were talking. It's a bit lacking in the mouth movements. When someone is speaking with increased emotion, their facial features need to express it. Also the running animation is a bit...strange. ME2's rush animation was much better.
Overall, I enjoyed the demo, and it didn't really ruin anything...as I was afraid it would. I could almost feel the fear and pandemonium that was created the moment the Reapers came into view.
