It's not just that, you have to seed. If you don't seed, the torrent will die.

    Well, look at this:

MegaUpload Users Want Their Files Back, Plan To Sue FBI

It appears MegaUpload’s users aren’t ready to just back down to the feds with new reports claiming international pirate organizations are planning on suing the FBI on behalf of users over files that have been lost due to the shutdown.

If you’ve been following along with the MegaUpload case, you’d know that many of the company’s execs are now awaiting trial on charges of piracy, racketeering, and money laundering following the feds shutting down the massively popular file-sharing site. The charges stem from claims that illegally distributed material on the site has cost copyright holders more than $500 million in lost revenue.

A report today from TorrentFreak highlights the fact that many millions of people have stored legitimate content through MegaUpload with no way of accessing it or knowing whether they’ll ever be able to retrieve the files again. As a result, the Pirate Parties have begun compiling a list of users who want their files back and plan to file an complaint against the US government responsible for the shutdown and in as many other countries as possible.

The Pirates of Catalonia in Spain, in conjunction with the Pirate Parties International have put up a website urging MegaUpload users to join the cause. Here’s an excerpt from their full statement:

As much of the unlawful content will still be available via other services on the web, this action not only shows us the futility of these measures but also serves as a reminder that these files are not necessarily, nor have been shown to be, illegal in any country, including the US… by closing the service they have impeded the access to millions of archives of both private individuals and organisations, potentially causing huge personal, economic and image damages to a vast number of people. In addition, the Pirate Party understands they may have violated Articles 197 and 198 of the Spanish Penal Code by misappropiating personal data.

I assume taxpayers money funds the FBI

You need to kill people or something........all these other ideas aren't substantial enough imo

A boycott of e-commerce long enough to threaten these companies would suffice. When they can no longer fund these lawsuits and lobbyists, they will stop those policies.

I guess you meant boycotting all these companies supporting/favorable to SOPA/PIPA/ACTA/SHITTA in general and not just those selling via Internet...

Sadly this won't work since most people either won't join or just won't be able to refrain long enough from actually buying (they're all a bunch of sissies )

Where are all those kamikazes and bomb-sending terrorists/extremists when they are actually needed/their doing would actually be appreciated once... but sadly they ain't smart enough to realize the prestige/popularity/image boost they would actually receive for attacking lobbyists/corrupt politicians/shady lawyers and alike (people might even start to appreciate them... for once)

Don' worry, it won't hurt... that much!

When troops wanted to desert Che Geuvarra, he killed them. That's one solution to the sissy issue.

P.S. tell all your dumb stoner buddies who wear Che T-shirts!

Two of those charges against Megaupload don't make sense-
    http://www.megaupload.com/
    Racketeering and Money Laundering?
Racketeering is just saying Copyright Infringement in this case.(Can't be charged with the same crime twice in the US.)
Then there is money laundering. Where does the government get this charge from?

Another thing, I don't like is the Eagle Image on the Intellectual Property Rights logo. When the Bald Eagle is shown holding things it should only be-
    1) Olive Branches(Peace) and Arrows(War.)
    2) The US Flag.(Protecting the flag)
    3) Perching on something.
    4) Nothing at all.
The eagle in that logo gives the impression of nothing but control and nothing about conveying the willingness to either do peace or war, the desire of patriotism, or watching over the country. It is an 'in your face' attempt at intimidation.

Got legit files on there? Then this might be good news for you. Don't think it'll be any good for ROMs though.
