Turned on ME2 today for the first time in ages, trying to clean up the last 3 trophies before my friend buys the arrival dlc for us. Anyone know how difficult the game is on the hardest difficulty/how I should approach it?

I found it pretty difficult, though I made it like 90% harder for myself by playing with a fresh Sentinel. Vorcha pretty much refuse to die on the hardest setting and you'll pretty much get turned into cheese just trying to kill one. I suggest using a New Game + character.

I read that by using a new game + character the enemies are much harder from the start.

That could totally be true, I just know that I wasn't using a NG+ character and I got fucking decimated anytime I wasn't behind cover for any longer than 4 seconds.
