The load times in-game weren't really bad, but starting up the game was pretty annoying. Might have had something to do with the fact that I pirated it.

    Great game though.

Yeah, average shooter. I watched my brother play. Not terrible, not something I'd bother playing.

All that Mass Effect talk earlier...I might try it again...never really got into it the first time.

@Drag: Yeah, everyone I know that is a Batman fan pretty much came to Arkham City.

I've wanted to pick it up since it came out, but I can't afford to buy a new release at the moment. I'll probably wait for it to come down to about $40 before I pick it up.

What console are you wanting it on? Idk what DLC it came with but used copies on Amazon are around $40 shipped.

Also, if Tales of Destiny 2 doesn't get here this week I'm opening a claim against this seller on Amazon...

I don't know what to think of Arkham City, yes I'm liking it and it's basically the same as Arkham Asylum, but I preferred the linearity of AA if I'm honest. I never know where to go or what to do on a sandbox style game unless it constantly tells me where to go. And Arkham City isn't, and I'm getting bored.

PS3. And the DLC when you buy new is the Catwoman DLC, which apparently adds a fair bit to the story. I also tend not to buy used copies of anything off Amazon.
Also, US Amazon and Canada Amazon are different. =P

I'm off for the next two days. Something tells me I'm not going to be doing much tomorrow. Today. Whatever it is.

I look at your avy and sig and get all happy. Then I remember this game is still months away.

And yeah I don't buy too many new games (aside from pre-ordering NISA stuff). I'm sure any used copy would have the DLC already redeemed. I've maybe used Amazon 8 or so times over the last year, mostly pre-ordering books. Trade sites are the best for used games (that and b2g1 or 2 is how I got most of my ps3 library).

I know American Amazon fully protects the buyer. A game has to be complete exactly like the listing or the buyer can return it. The text beneath the item doesn't matter.

    Never looked at Canadian Amazon.

Have no idea. Might pick up Burnout and some sort of shooter. Which is retarded considering I've barely even started a couple I already have.

One had the best plot in a lot of ways.

A series of rooms, the entire plot comes largely from reading between the lines and various data logs/discussions. A shadowy organization that's vaguely defined is fighting another vaguely defined organization out of sight. Oh, and incredibly absurd shit keeps popping up but everyone appears to be extremely nonchalant about it. How did we invent the iPod? We didn't. We just dug one up, figured out how it works, then repackaged and sold it. And a cast of characters you could fit in an average sized phone booth without difficulty. Quite similar to the work of a certain nihilistic writer. The historical story tackled a very interesting period of history from an unusual angle and managed to be shockingly historically accurate. Grinding aside it did a great job of things.

'course not everyone was able to understand it/find it and the plot got heavily casualized once Desmond hopped into the Mystery Machine.

Assassin's ZOINKS managed to make things a lot easier to find since they introduce a character (well, two) to spoon feed you a couple datalogs and some historical context. They made the whole black and grey morality thing a bit more blatant (good guys? Desmond we're assassins. We KILL PEOPLE FOR A LIVING.) and by pointing out that, well, hey, the templars might be planning to use the apple, but the assassins have been using them for centuries in a similar context but on a slightly smaller scale. And they're pretty close in terms of dickishness. Who cares if your brain fries? We don't. Now back to level grinding because we need to get our hands on more of these ancient artifacts that have caused everything up to and including nuclear fucking war.

And all that is before 2 ends.
