Don't think so. There's Vivendi that did buy Sierra, therefore producing Half-Life 2 when it was retail. Infogrames, from the notorius Alone In The Dark series. Microids, that published a lot of Point-and-Click adventures. No wonder why in France, the PC community is dense.

    Wait, Ubisoft is French?

All I can see in my mind now is a snooty hoity-toity 18th Century Frenchman banging away at a computer with a powdered wig.....

Not that I have anything against French people, mind you.
The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.

Yes, there is precisely one video game company in the entirety of France, a First World nation with a population of over 65 million and the fifth-highest GDP in the world.
Let's see, Atari/Infrogrames, Cyanide, AGEOD, Eden, Étranges Libellules, Hydravision, Gameloft...

The only thing I want from Ubisoft Is rayman 3,that's all.
I never really thought anything else they made was interesting.....
But I know lots of people on steam that bought Ubisoft games.
It's kind of sad how game companies think everyone is pirating.
Sometimes when they try to solve the problem,it gives even more reason to download the game.
Like Capcom not releasing certian games in Europe because they think we'll download it anyways.
The pirate can still download the USA version and the fan can't play the game at all even if they want to buy it,and gives more reason for the fan to buy a flashcard

It's a term used in the japanese board game GO(some japanese chess game I guess) and it kind of means something like Attack or checkmate or something like that.
