Snake? Snake!? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!??
glad you got the courage to create a hangout was wondering how long we'd go without.
There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity ignorant people can be taught
stupid people need to be shot.
The Hangout is nothing but a virtual training world.
Gnome-Shell is officially buff. Using WinKey, then typing for the app I want speaks back to my OS X days using Alfred and using WinKey+Spacebar to bring up the launcher window and working from there (can also be done, and has been done, with Quicksilver). This allows me to use my computer much faster without needing to worry about going through a menu with my mouse, since, if I'm going into an application menu, I already know what I'm looking for.
Also, while launching any application, the Gnome-Shell overlay hides all currently open windows, so I get to look at my completely tasteful (seriously) Charlize Theron wallpaper. Wonderful days.
Having to boot Ubuntu just to delete a folder is irritating.
Here I am 8:20pm and on the West coast. I know good and damned well that none of you assholes are at work.![]()
You need a shared, writable partition that all your data goes to. The Ubuntu partition should not contain any personal data. Only operation system, applications, and settings. Anything you need access to before the other partitions are mounted (wallpaper, etc) can be copied over, but you don't want duplicate sets of data and you don't want to lose anything if you do a broken upgrade.
I've done this song and dance too many times. lol.
