Isn't the 4S out now, or coming out soon?

My mate's banging on about wanting an iPhone. I'm holding out for an HTC Android.

Just wait for a sale when you can get it free or super cheap with a plan.

It's out now, still pretty new on the market. I still absolutely adore my 4 though. I can't imagine being happier with a phone.

I'll probably not bother replacing my phone, more important things to spend money on... When I get a job though, I'll probably get a good phone on contract.

Hope you didn't buy it new, 'i' anything is way overpriced.

I bought it new, but it honestly wouldn't have been all that much different used when you take the cost of a contract into account. iPhones hold their value pretty well, especially if they're unlocked. I know I can sell mine when the contract's up and get back the majority of what I originally paid upfront.

There's that. I couldn't justify paying several hundred dollars for a phone of any sort.

I actually exchanged my old iPhone 3gs and had to pay £20 for the new phone.

They are expensive, no arguments there. This is only my third phone in nearly ten years though. Plus the previous two were kind of cheap and cheerful so I figured I could get a new phone as well as save myself carrying an iPod around. It's just been so useful. I got it unlocked before I went to America during the summer, stuck a prepaid T-Mobile SIM in there and barely even needed to use my laptop at all while I was there. The camera is brilliant too. I took a Canon DSLR with me and rarely used it because the iPhone did the job so well.
