They also cop out a couple times there.

Actually, the whole third act was pretty much a cop out when you think about it.

It stops caring around when you get to Yemen.

I just got to the city(?) in the desert after the plane crash. No idea if I'm as far as you're on about yet.

I'd say that's more like 5 chapters from the end. I'd give it about 3-4 hours of game time, depending on how well you do.

The bit I'm talking about is pretty much everything after you head to the desert area. Once the main plot gets going, it starts becoming a bit of a trainwreck.
