I've actually been disappointed with the game.

Have a good Thanksgiving, for those that celebrate! ....Or Boxing Day, All Saints Day, Early Yule, Day of the Dead, Pints and Crisps Day, or whatever else floats your boat..

Not too keen on it as I once was as a kid, but I go through the motions every year, and lay-out a huge spread for the old folks...
Halloween/Samhain is more our thing.....we all like to dress-up and go full make-up and all, bone-up on the Tom Savini stuff, and hit the various bars/parties...

He is a cool guy, met him several times, once along with Andre the Giant.

*Long-winded memories/comments regarding Tom Savini ahead - If not a fan, please skip on!*

In his younger days, I got the impression that he was a bit of a hot-head, a cocky 'Guido', if you will. The second time I met him, at a monster-related convention, he was far more mellow and friendly, yet still struck me as someone that could give me a solid run for my money, physically, and he was well into his 40s...
Really solid dude, and an amazing talent. His protege, Greg Nicotero, actually created many of the zombie make-ups and appliances for 'Day of the Dead'; he was barely in his 20s! Greg is a monsters success now, his make-up FX studio has created endless zombies and full-suit creatures for hundreds of films. Even if you dont THINK you know Nicotero's work, you know Nicotero's work...

A woman that I had known (I had dated her daughter..) grew-up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, and she used to run with the local biker guys, they called themselves 'Steel City' and the 'Rollers'. These were the guys that George had asked to appear as the bikers in 'Dawn of the Dead', essentially playing 'themselves' and working for free catered food and all the beer they could swill, rather than a paid salary. This lady had clear memories, as well as pictures, of her in her 20s, hanging with these guys, getting drunk, and even a few from the set of 'DOTD'. The Mall itself was a blast for her, malls being a fairly new thing at the time. She said that they all shopped and ate there, regularly. She remembered it as a really great, wild time...

Its great how Savini's staple character, "Sex Machine/Blade", appears as a zombie in Land of the Dead...awesome, awesome bit of continuity!

I've only seen Dawn and Day Of The Dead, and his remake of Night Of The Living Dead. I'm a big fan of Dawn, it's just an awesome film and it's not mainly about zombies, but the psychological impact with society and how people react to it. To be honest, the remake was well done, but it doesn't hold a candle with the original. Sorry, fast zombies, you're just not that good! The remake of Night Of The Living dead, was well done. The effects are of course pretty good and, to be honest, it got a bit ruined by the producers.

I agree with 95% of this, Engle. The Night re-make is really great in its own right, yes. Snyder's re-do of Dawn was a shock to me; I actually really dug it! The FAST zombies are a no-go for me, though, its like George said: "Remember, these people are lacking muscle, the sinew has rotted-away, and they often are riddled with broken bones, they are decaying..."

The relationship between Kenneth and Andy helped to secure this film, imho. Very well-written stuff, and the DVD 'extra bits' are short films within themselves...

Good call, that game was fun to do one time through.

Good morning all. Just woke up. It's not like I was up really late playing Disgaea 4 or anything.
