From your response I can only assume you live in a flat/unit.
My cats litter tray is in my bath (because I only ever use the bath to wash the dogs, and the shower is separate).
But most people I know put the litter tray in the laundry.
Using the bathroom is good because there's an extraction fan in there.
I remember years ago I lived in a share house with somebody that had a cat.
The litter tray was only allowed in the owners bedroom
