I guess I'm too spoiled by the likes of Gran Turismo.

But yeah, the responsiveness pretty much sucks.
It's frustrating because the Saturn version of Sega Rally plays great to this day but Daytona just feels like a mess. :/ The Dreamcast incarnation wasn't too hot either. Strange to think it's taken nearly 20 years to get a home version comparable to the arcade game...

I wasn't even aware Daytona was on the Dreamcast until I started pirating EVERY GAME for it back in 2006. Yeah I don't recall it being very good.

Sega Rally on the other hand.

I'm sick of charging my phone. I charged it twice yesterday.

Try playing the DC version of Daytona with a steering wheel. I don't normally like them, but it makes a world of difference with Daytona.

I had a Dreamcast steering wheel once.

... I played through Gunbird 2 with it.

The Dreamcast was the point were Sega stopped being slightly screwy and completely lost the plot in my view. The Mega Drive was amazing, and the Saturn was an equally great console that was screwed over by horrendous business decisions. They had the opportunity for a clean slate with the DC and blew it. That they genuinely believed churning out arcade port after arcade port would be enough to keep it afloat next to the PS2 should show just how out of touch with reality they really were by that point.

I had the official Dreamcast one, it didn't come with pedals I don't think. Just some flappy paddles that acted as brake/accelerate. Was a nice wheel.

Look at how popular arcades aren't now.
