So a few months ago, I canceled my TV, 'cause I never watched it and it was costing me $60/month. It knocked my current plan down to $62/month (7.5Mbps internet and basic home phone).
My service provider just called me with one of their "promos," saying that they can upgrade me to Broadband 50, keep my home phone, and basic cable for $50/month for the first year. Broadband 50 has a 50Mbps download speed, 3Mbps upload, and 400GB bandwidth.

It is, provided I remember to give notice to cancel by October 19th of next year. Otherwise, the cost jumps to $150/month. Which I'm not paying.

Make sure it's not a 2 year contract.

They do that here. They give you an awesome price for 12 months, but you have to sign a 24 month contract to get it.

Shaw Cable doesn't do contracts. It's their "gimmick" to get customers.
Also, lady on the phone outright said "this is not a contract, you can cancel or change your plan at any time."

My friend bought Outland on Xbox Live about two weeks ago and he said it was absolutely fantastic. Most likely $10-15.

$9.99... sounds interesting, and got pretty great reviews. Pretty much as soon as I saw "platformer" I was sold.
Oh, and I forgot about Limbo. Might have to grab that as well... so I can do another $10 game. Any more suggestions from anyone?

If you enjoy grinding, you could get Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. $15, then spend the remaining $5 on Chapter 9 and/or 10 DLC. (9 has the best run speed boots, which are pretty much required, and 10 has the best weapon(s) for most of the characters) Apparently PSN also gets Yoko, Julius, and Chapter 7 for free.

Also, local co-op, which the 360 version was sorely lacking.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of grinding, to be honest. Only when trophies are involved. Or Pokemon.
