Can anyone suggest a JRPG similar to Tales Of Symphonia on either the Wii or the Gamecube? I never got round to playing the sequel as I heard it was mediocre?

Im looking for a game similar to the Persona series, with school life/relationship/action/anime style to it. I love Persona games, so if there is anything else similar to it that ive yet to try, id love to hear about itAlso, keep suggestions in the ps2/gamecube region, or pc, otherwise suggestions would be useless if i didnt have the system
