So today I got offered the opportunity to pull an extra 8 hour shift at work.

I figured "sweet, finally some extra income."

Then I did the math.

Total income generated by sitting at home on Friday in my underwear playing videogames: 72.00
Total income generated by an 8 hour shift of physical labour: $80 (Minus taxes, $4 in bus fare, and ingredients for a necessary high energy lunch)
Net income generated by this extra shift: -2.50

That's right, I'm effectively losing money so that I can waste a day working my ass off.

And this is why I really need to think things through before I agree to them.

Fuck.

On the plus side, I have gained a few levels in heavy lifting. Perhaps I should consider throwing my boss against a wall until I get a raise...
