I find it hilarious sometimes, when the people out here who haven't worked for six months and have no money and are living with their parents again, still seem to think that fast food joints are above them.

Then again, I need a steady paycheque. Doesn't matter how much it is.
Still would rather work at the dollar store on the same strip mall are where McDonald's is close to my house.

This sentence is so fucking retarded that I can't even make sense of it.

Much like the person who wrote it.

The majority of people who work at fast food joints/gas stations, etc, don't do so because they want to. They do it because it usually comes down to one of the few jobs that are open. In my city right now, there is nothing in terms of jobs except for fast food.

There are lots of better jobs. There just aren't always other jobs available.

Yay I won the idiot award.
In the Mcdonald's close to my house, there's a strip mall, wouuld rather work in a dollar store there than at Mcdonald's.
Can't be that hard to get a part-time job at a store.

What jobs are available is very dependent on the region you live in; it's not such a universal thing as many would believe.

There are privately owned ones that are open nearby but they're much more expensive.

I don't think I could ever do it again no matter how bad a situation I'm in. Maybe something like a Tim Hortons and night shift working in the back I could stomach for about a year (which I've done) . Anything else no way. I'd rather live on the street
