Whilst its not anything major, it does add another degree of difficulty to the game, for example on my first play through i was unable to obtain all the aeons due to the fact that dark Valfore was blocking Besaid Island and i couldnt get into the temple to get the treasure from there since that was the only one i missed so i had to grind my arse off on the chocobo races to try to get Tidus's ultimate weapon just to stand a degree of a chance against it, and if you use the expert sphere grid you will find yourself in the monster arena an awful lot![]()

Bennieboi's Question Of The Day (now defunct)
I reckon ive done like 99% of FF10, clocked up ALOT of hours. Dont know if i could be bothered playing it yet again. BUT i would probably STILL get it coz its an awesome game ( cept for the bloody voices) oh and blitzball sucks too.
I'll probably get it for the vita. In my opinion they should remake VIII instead of VII. VII should be saved as a safety net in case they ever slump too low bussines wise the VII remake would obviously produce tons of cash XD .
WORD! having to blitzball for wakka's ultimate weapon and upgrade was a pain in the sack.I reckon ive done like 99% of FF10, clocked up ALOT of hours. Dont know if i could be bothered playing it yet again. BUT i would probably STILL get it coz its an awesome game ( cept for the bloody voices) oh and blitzball sucks too.
I'm neutral on this. While I'm part of the group that would LOVE to see a remake of Final Fantasy VII, I've enjoyed X enough to make this feel warranted. Still, if they change mechanics and style to something like XIII's gameplay - and I use the word 'gameplay' lightly here- I'm out. Graphics update, possibly some new story elements, that's it. Leave the systems as they ARE, thank you very much. I liked the FF X battle system, it needs no change.
...damnit, I do this too often. I just pose my opinion on this, and immediately go on a tangental hatred remark on XIII. Oh well.
I must admit it came as a surprise though. When they mentioned they'd be remaking one of their older high-profile titles, I think practically everyone thought "well, that's VII remade. They've only hinted at it for the past 3 or 4 years, after all."
No matter what anyone says, this is still a great idea.
And, who knows. Maybe we'll see a PC release?
Spoiler warning:
Oh as I said - it's not a bad idea per se. I wouldn't call it a great idea until we see details of WHAT they upgrade. If they fundamentally change systems in the game, I'd object, but if it's a graphical overhaul, I'd be fine with that.
I do doubt a PC release though, sorry![]()
I agree with good old Eggman. Graphical Update and leave the actual Game mechanics. Add some awesome new stuff and i think all would be happy. One thing i think would be cool (but probably wont happen due to maybe having to change the story a wee but) would be maybe a new charater or two, just to change it enough to warrant a full remake. Just an idea tho.
As you already say - probably doubtful, unless they choose to flesh out a part of the storyline that was glossed over in the initial release. Perhaps focusing on explaining Yuna's dad's story more closely could work there, but not involving the 'main crew', as it were.
I agree with leaving the game mechanics alone.
Also, I'd like to see A small part where you play as Jecht, Auron, and...uh....shit, what was his name...?
Anyway, I'd like to see a part with those three added.![]()
