I required a powerful mobile base. The Death Egg was a bit too unwieldy for the job. The Egg Carrier - still my greatest creation to date in my mind - suited my purposes admirably. It still does, in point of fact. It's merely decommissioned as a direct weapons system for the fight against Sonic, and I treat it as 'home' now.
