Having this huge monitor makes me want to redownload all my Star Trek episodes in HD
You know, I've been trying for months to connect my laptop to my TV to watch anime/movies etc.
I use a S-Video to A/V (it has a headphone jack for audio), but when I turn the TV to the input and try to connect it doesn't detect my TV.

This one didn't make it easy. I had to download the firmware update for the TV, and set the video card to display unsupported resolutions.
Trial and error, I came up with 1920x1080.

Your TV has firmware? o.O
Mine isn't some giant flatscreen or anything.
Just a 32" SD TV.
Just looked and the damn thing has a S-Video input as well as A/V.
Wish I had bought just an S-Video cable now, but it wouldn't have sound, would it?
