I've been searching for problems on that TV, and it appears there is a well known capacitor problem. The symptoms are the TV will turn itself off, and then come back on with pink and blue dots on the screen. It hasn't done that to me, but I only had it on for a few minutes. If it does do that, I can still probably fix it for very little.
