Original looking is the key imo (lowering is beneficial sometimes though....for street/track use).
Suspension can be changed back to stock anyway........I've changed back and forth many times with many cars to appease the fuzz and then to be naughty again

Mk2 Golfs are pretty cheap I reckon. The Mk3 GTIs are the cheapest because they're the most underpowered of the lot.
Insurance is fucking ridiculous for new drivers over here, so I'll probably not even have a GTI until I'm in my 40s.![]()
