I was wondering why some games were running slowly, regardless of settings.

I forgot to set the CCC settings back to normal. I've been running games at 24X MF SSAA, and max filtering .

I want to take a look inside my monitor but, I can't figure out how to take it apart.

If it's a CRT, there should be hidden clips around the edge, where the plastic around the screen itself has a seam with the back half.

Flat screen monitors generally have obvious screws for the same purpose.
