Agreed. I got caught up in all the anti-hype after its English release and thought maybe I only enjoyed it as much as I did because "Yay, new Final Fantasy at Christmas! And hey, I can understand it in Japanese! That's pretty cool!". But I was watching my cousin's fiancee run through some of it recently, and I'm still quite fond of it. Not my favourite game ever or anything, but sort of unfairly slammed, as far as I'm concerned.

I'll take 'What is the sole redeeming feature of the american Godzilla film?'

On an unrelated note, yay for securing gainful employment. Boo for it scuttling my ideas of moving interstate.

Final Fantasy XIII PAL deserted the cause, though, and gave us Lightning plastered all over the cover. Fortunately, Japan stuck to its guns, so I still have Final Fantasy XIII pretties on my shelf.

You should make a photobook. "Fer Holds Games Up to a Webcam". I'd buy it. Multiple times.

I remember seeing it back as a kid in the day and thinking.

Why the fuck that badass from The Professional isn't shooting the dinosaurs with the goddamned machine gun?

I thought the raptors were pretty cool.

    More movies need raptors.

And it's not like baby godzillas was used in a similar fashion over there to my knowledge.

With little godzillas typically still being fuckhuge

Babelfish actually isn't that bad for European languages, provided you know enough about the languages in question to polish up the odd glaring error. Of course if you know enough to do that, you're probably at the level where you don't really need online translators anyway.

Hey, it had Matthew Broderick...defiling my fond memories of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Okay, you may have a point.

Awesome. Whatcha going to be doing?

Heavy Rain is a good example of bad North American boxart.

You'd think the chick with the huge yams is the main character being that she takes up as much space as the other 3 people on the cover.

Nope, she's arguably the most minor character in the entire thing and doesn't even show up until an hour or so in. The guy you barely see over her left shoulder? Yeah, he's the real protagonist. Meanwhile, the rest of the world got a very simply and extremely classy cover. A cover which is contained in its entirety on about 1/4 of the NA box.
