Default I need to decrypt a file before playing?

Right.. so I got Jpcsp V0.6 or whatever, it tells me the file is encrypted or somthing, and if I don't own the game and real PSP I can go stuff myself tbh, so is there a solution to this or is it really the case? lol.

Edit: Should mention this is the first time I ever downloaded a game and first time ever using a sony emulator (PSP) lol.

Edit Edit: Should yet also mention it could be because the game is in RAR format, (the books icon) but idk how to change that so idk

Well, if it's a rar file, you need to unrar it first off. Secondly, did you get it from here or another site? I know they use ECM on some things here, though I'm not sure they would use that on a PSP ISO.

Which game? If you're not using the latest SVN build, then I suggest you do so.

Since 1900+ revision, the emulator able to do on-the-fly decryption on most games, but it may not work on some games yet, if that happen, then you need to manually decrypt it using actual PSP.

What is the file extension of the game? .iso?

Got the game from here, yes it's a .iso but in a RAR archive (I'm assuming this is normal?) the game was in 2 parts and I extracted the first one (Right click > extract here). The RAR file contains a folder called 'PSP_GAME' and a bin file called 'UMD_DATA.BIN'.

I will check the latest SVN build too, thanks.

    Yes, that's normal.

You don't need to extract the file again, since its already in .ISO, and what you have extracted(PSP_GAME, UMD_DATA.bin) is the content inside the .iso file.
Just keep it as .iso, which you will use to run on the emulator.

Edit: Checked the SVN builds, they're being a noob tho got JRE 64 bit and 32 bit and it isn't working so there's bound to be a guide here somwhere.

Like I said before, JPCSP can now decrypt most games automatically without using actual PSP, but it may also not work for some games.

If you can't run the emulator, try updating your Java to the latest version.

I have JRE 7 32 bit and 64 bit but no luck. Even went to the trouble of uninstalling both and going back to JRE 6 but no luck, is there somthing I'm doing wrong?

Edit: Fixed, went to the forums of the emulator site.
