Fuck, it's been ages since I've used that accent.

    It's clearly gotten worse.
*snrk* Now I'm going to have to post that again.

    Wait. Waitwaitwait.
    ...
    There's a North Dakota?

Oh, and my coworker would so kill me if she heard me joking about that; she's from Fargo.

    Apparently so.

Although given this response I'm tempted to swap Sask and Manitoba.

    Most people forget about Manitoba.

    Because it's shit.

Although the funny accents is making me reconsider.

    People from Sask sound hilarious.

North Dakota mostly exists so that South Dakota has someone to laugh at.

Because laughing at Canada gets old after a while.

That's what they'd like you to think.

But no. It's full of undesirables and human trash. Also, immigrants from the other shitty parts of the country.

Which I guess is why it was named after Scotland.

    Man, people really hate Scotland.

Around here, South Dakota is known for Mount Rushmore, Wall Drug, and the Badlands, in about that order. If someone's really well-traveled, they'll probably add the Corn Palace to that list. North Dakota is known for nukes, if that. I suppose, considering that they've discovered oil there and had a real boom there a few years back, you'd think people would hear more about it, but it hasn't really spread.

But if you want funny accents, Sask = Minnesota. Ya, you betcha, don'tcha know? Dakotans are pretty close to standard American English (Newscaster Standard).

Manitoba is known for large bugs, farming, and the occasional oil drill (but that's really more Alberta's thing)

I guess chronic exposure to the Fargo ian has softened the effect. Or movies have, once again, lied to me.

Manitoba has a large number of military bases, as well.
Also, polar bears. Churchill and all.

Nah, it didn't (technically) lie about that. Fargo's just across the Red River from Moorhead, and it's pretty Minnesotan for all that it's technically in ND. Mind you, not all Minnesotans really talk like that. There are those Hmong and Somali populations in the Twin Cities, after all...

Hmmm...so, North Dakota meets Nebraska, then. Hayseed bumpkin's pro'lly a fitting accent.

In reality, polar bears are pretty wussy too.

    Also, they're exceptionally lazy.

But they're so big and cute.

Okay, black bears are kind of cute too, but I've seen lots of those.
